« High carbon steel blade needs a bit of care. Rinse the blade with hot water after
use and dry it carefully. You can also use dish soap but DO NOT put it in the
dishwasher. It is normal for carbon steel to stain i.e. produce patina in use. Patina will
protect the steel from corrosion. If the blade starts to feel a bit dull you can try
stroping it with leather belt or if it becomes very dull it will sharpen relatively easy
with a sharpening stone. Every once and a while you can put some pure mineral oil
to the blade and some tung- or linseed-oil to the handle.
But above all - use the knife! It was made for that… »
